2010 WSOP Main Event begins Tuesday evening at 8 PM ET on ESPN. Day 1A, the first of four Day 1s, features the antics of Mike Matusow as he makes his opening bid to go deep in the $10,000 buy-in poker championship. Watch as the ESPN cameras check in on the progress of former Main Event champions.

Less than 2 years ago, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino opened their new, swanky $10 million poker lounge with 18 tables, investing heavily into poker when many other casinos were downsizing after poker's popularity had peaked. Turns out it may have been a bad investment. Hard Rock will soon be closing its poker lounge, though they'll still keep a poker room by moving 6-8 tables elsewhere in the casino. No word yet on what the space will be used for. We'd immediately guess slot machines, but it lends itself to a bar/restaurant.
