The Sign at (what was) the Fitzgerald Poker Room
In what we hope does not start a trend, the poker room at Fitzgeralds downtown has quietly closed.
Other poker rooms, such as Silverton, have limited their hours.
Fitz had a tough time since launching their poker room upstairs a few years ago. Only attracting 1 or 2 tables worth of players, they tried tournaments, sit-n-gos, freerolls, high hand jackpots, but in the end it didn't justify the cost and was shuttered.

Available at Harrah's on the Las Vegas strip
Have you checked out BravoPokerLive?
We’ve been seeing the sign advertising it in more and more poker rooms around town, and we finally downloaded the app to our iPhone (it’s also available on Android).
It’s a marvelous tool to check in on your favorite poker room to see what and how many tables are running (it also lists tournament information). If you sync to your location, you’ll see how far away the nearest poker room is as well.

2011 NACAR Sprint Car Champion Tony Stewart leads the Las Vegas Strip Victory Lap
Cold, windy weather and under a canopy of threatening clouds did not deter the thousands of NASCAR fans from lining both sides of the Las Vegas Strip for a close-up look at their racing heros and noble steads. A NASCAR sprint car is as much of a star attraction as the drivers and crews. These colorful power monsters can smoke the huge racing slicks at will while producing enough noise (high-tech music to race fan ears) to get a fleet of 747's airborne.
